Rotary nourishes education
In a world where food is wasted daily, how is it possible that 815 millions of people still go without it?
Hunger should be impossible, but fighting it is our duty! That is why Rotarians from the Clubs of District 2050, in synergy with the Rise against Hunger Association, gather every year to pack thousands of boxes containing high-protein food destined for countries afflicted by poverty.
Over 500,000 food rations
for those school-age boys and girls who would otherwise not have access to education in a country afflicted by poverty.
The food distribution, monitored by the clubs participating in this annual event, is delivered directly to schools to guarantee a child’s nutritional needs for an entire school year, with a special focus on young girls.
A warm meal at school will allow them not to abandon basic education, keeping them away from exploitation, malnutrition, and poverty, enabling them to lay the foundations for a different future.
Because the true strength of a society is measured by its ability to walk together. Always. Leaving no one behind.
