Service Above Self
The name of the e-Club Agàpe Universale recalls the fundamental commandment: to love your neighbor as yourself.
Today, however, this principle seems to weaken: our “neighbor” is no longer a real presence, but often a hidden distance behind superficial and virtual relationships. In a world saturated with stimuli, we risk forgetting those who are truly close to us and seeing the other as a stranger, rather than a part of ourselves.
Agàpe Universale was born to bring this connection back to the center, promoting a concrete love capable of overcoming distances and uniting people. An invitation to rediscover the other, as an authentic and necessary gesture.

Rotary International is the oldest service organization, founded in 1905 by Attorney Paul Harris in the U.S.A., which today counts over 1,200,000 members and 45,000 Clubs in 200 countries worldwide.

These questions reveal only an apparent paradox: the best form of selfishness is selflessness. Investing in others is the only good shielded from devaluation, making reciprocity and the culture of service a profoundly ethical act.

Since 1988, Rotary and our partners have vaccinated over 3 billion children worldwide.
We are closer than ever to eradicating polio, but we are not done yet.
