This double pillar \u2014 loving God and neighbor \u2014 has sustained the Judeo-Christian ethics of the Western world for nearly two millennia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-&#091;1.7&#093;\">At the end of the 19th century, Friedrich Nietzsche announced the &#8220;death of God&#8221;. In his most famous aphorism, a madman wanders by day with a lit lantern looking for God among the mocking crowd, then smashes the lamp and cries out: &#8220;we have killed him, God is dead and we have not realized it!&#8221; Even those who do not fond of Nietzsche have had to recognize him as a prophet. By &#8220;God&#8221; he means the inner metaphysical space, <strong>the focal point of moral action<\/strong>, hollowed out by positivism and the new scientism.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-&#091;1.7&#093;\">The fall of this first pillar dragged down with it, at the end of the 20th century, the crisis of the second as well: love for one&#8217;s neighbor. Our neighbor is not an abstract entity, <strong>it is the person we see and can touch<\/strong>. Today they are replaced by a media hologram, and the &#8220;you&#8221; we address to everyone conceals an unbridgeable distance. color: #ffffff;\"> WHY AN E-CLUB <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>We chose the web<\/h2>\n<p>A Rotary e-Club is a Club whose Members meet and connect via the Internet (email, videoconferencing, Skype, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>This innovative type of Rotary Club was established by Rotary International in 2010 and, to date, already counts around 300 Clubs worldwide.<\/p>\n<div class=\"accordion\">\n\t<div id=\"accordion-3249955499\" class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t<a id=\"accordion-3249955499-label\" class=\"accordion-title plain\" href=\"#accordion-item-what-regulations-does-an-e-club-follow?\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"accordion-3249955499-content\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"toggle\" aria-label=\"Toggle\"><i class=\"icon-angle-down\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t<span>What regulations does an e-club follow?<\/span>\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t<div id=\"accordion-3249955499-content\" class=\"accordion-inner\" aria-labelledby=\"accordion-3249955499-label\">\n\t\t\t\n<p>Rotary e-Clubs follow the <strong>same regulations<\/strong> established for all Rotary Clubs. The official meeting time is determined when the Club President or Secretary posts the discussion topic on the site.
